AMMAN — The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mafraq has risen to 21, including the truck driver who first tested positive in the governorate on Wednesday, according to an official at the National Anti-Pandemic Committee.
The source added that seven of the new cases were in contact with the driver, including one in Khanasri town in Mafraq and six from various areas in Irbid, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
There is a possibility that more cases will be confirmed pending the results of tests on samples that were collected from Irbid and Mafraq governorates, the official said, noting that specialised teams have collected more than 120 samples.
