AMMAN (JT) — The Italian Med-Or Foundation has elected Jordanian Senator Alia Bouran as member of its advisory board, chaired by former Italian MP and Minister Marco Minniti since Med-Or's founding in 2021.
Bouran was elected after meeting with Minniti in Rome on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
After being re-elected for the second consecutive time in February, she has been appointed as the chair of Med-Or's political committee, which is dedicated to addressing political cooperation and security concerns within PAM.
Med-Or's political committee focuses on monitoring political developments in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions, as well as geopolitical challenges affecting member states.
The foundation seeks to promote cooperation and understanding in the Mediterranean and Africa through educational programmes and scholarships that Med-Or offer to different countries.
