AMMAN — The Ministry of Water and Irrigation has finalised a project to support host communities for refugees, implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the federal ministry for economic cooperation and development and in collaboration with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD). The ministry on Wednesday confirmed that the project targeted four villages, aiming to improve water supply efficiency, enhance networks, and water quality, promote optimal water use, and reduce losses through citizen awareness and behavioural guidance, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Representatives of local communities hosting refugees praised the project's accomplishments, emphasising the importance of community involvement as a key partner in the water sector.
