AMMAN — Planning and International Cooperation Minister Imad Fakhoury has signed agreements with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) to implement six projects at a value of 20.75 million euros, a ministry statement said on Sunday.
Financing these projects will be agreed upon during the talks with Germany scheduled to be held in November. The projects are related to protecting the environment and biological diversity in Jordan; and the decentralised administration of sanitation water to adapt with climate change.
The agreements also cover projects related to developing energy efficiency at the Jordan Water Authority and supporting communities hosting Syrian refugees. Fakhoury commended Germany’s support for Jordan, noting that the country is one of the Kingdom’s largest supporters on the bilateral level.
