AMMAN — There will be no adjustment to the electricity tariff for charging electric vehicles, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) Ziad Saaida said on Sunday, emphasising that the tariff will remain unchanged as it has been since April 2020. Saaida said the commission has taken several initiatives to address the challenges related to green transport, notably the introduction of an incentivised fees to encourage the deployment of charging stations. Saaida stressed that Jordan has been at the forefront of nations in the region in promoting cooperation between the public and private sectors to develop numerous energy projects, thanks to the favourable regulatory environment that attracts investment.
