Seven suffer smoke inhalation in Aqaba hotel fire

AMMAN — Seven people suffered smoke inhalation when a fire erupted in a hotel in Aqaba on Wednesday, according to a Civil Defence Department (CDD) statement. Aqaba CDD Director Col. Mohammad Habahbeh said the cadres controlled the fire in the hotel and administered first aid to those who inhaled smoke.
The CDD cadres took them to Prince Hashem Military Hospital,from where they were discharged after receiving treatment. Spilled cooking oil caused the fire, the statement quoted a security source as saying.
