Romanian man drowns at Dead Sea

AMMAN — A 75-year-old Romanian man on Thursday drowned at a Dead Sea hotel, a Civil Defence Department (CDD) said.
CDD divers recovered the body and transferred it to the Southern Shouneh Hospital. Meanwhile, in Irbid, 80km north of Amman, four people suffered smoke inhalation after a fire near their apartment.
CDD cadres extinguished the fire, administered first aid to the injured and took them to Princess Basma Hospital, where they reported to be in fair condition.
