Seven arrested in case of alleged protection rackets

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested six suspects in Amman and another in a neighbouring governorate, three of whom have more than 100 charges in their criminal records, the Public Security Department’s (PSD) media centre said Wednesday.
The arrested men are suspected of involvement in protection rackets, according to a PSD statement sent to The Jordan Times. The PSD also called on the public to report such incidents.
