AMMAN — HRH Princess Rym Ali, the founder of the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), on Tuesday inaugurated an eight-day media exhibition titled “The Great Arab Revolt in the eyes of the world”, organised by JMI in cooperation with the US embassy in Amman.
The exhibition comprises 500 paintings from US and Arab media sources, some of which are showcased for the first time, according to a JMI statement. JMI Dean Basim Tweissi said that the documentary exhibition provides a chance for the new generation to see how the world looked at the revolt.
US Ambassador Alice G. Wells said that the exhibition includes photos by US journalist and writer Lowell Thomas that reflect “the nobility of the revolt leaders”.
