Princess Rym, Thneibat discuss media institute programmes

AMMAN — HRH Princess Rym Ali, the founder of the Jordan Media Institute (JMI), on Wednesday met with Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat and briefed him on the journalism and media master’s programme and training course offered by the JMI.
Princess Rym and Thneibat highlighted the importance of spreading awareness among school students on how to deal with journalism and media subjects, according to a JMI statement.
Thneibat voiced his interest in media and ways to deal with information and analysing it, especially with the “huge” amount of information on the Internet and social media outlets.
JMI Dean Basim Tweissi expressed the institute’s readiness to cooperate with the ministry on all programmes aimed at training teachers and students on media concepts.
