AMMAN — Services at the Yarmouk Water Company’s offices in Irbid, 80km north of Amman, were delayed for two hours on Monday after power supply was disconnected for unpaid dues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Irbid District Electricity Company Director General Ahmad Theinat said total unpaid dues have reached JD31 million and urged government intervention. Theinat said the cuts only target administrative facilities to avoid affecting water supply to subscribers.
