Oddat meets with Yemen ambassador

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat on Monday met with Yemeni Ambassador to Jordan Ali Omrani to review the developments in Yemen and efforts exerted to achieve peace in the country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, Oddat affirmed Jordan's “steadfast and permanent” stance towards the unity, security and stability of Yemen, standing by the Yemeni people and supporting the legitimate government in the country. Oddat also stressed that Jordan is keen on supporting Yemen in various fields and in all international forums.

The Yemeni ambassador valued Jordan's role and leadership, pointing out that his country is in “dire need of Arab solidarity” supporting it in confronting militias that violate Yemeni land, people and resources in the service of foreign agenda, according to Petra.
