Oddat, Australian ambassador discuss ties

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulmunim Oddat and Australian Ambassador Bernard Lynch on Monday discussed bilateral ties between the countries, mainly at the parliamentary level.
Oddat highlighted the "deep friendship" relations between Jordan and Australia, highlighting the importance of cooperation to realise both peoples’ interests and contribute to achieving regional security and stability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The speaker also said that Jordan has managed to present a model of a strong nation over its 100 years. Lynch expressed his country's appreciation for role Jordan’s role in maintaining regional security and stability, commending the Kingdom's pivotal role in hosting refugees.
