AMMAN — The illegal and unilateral Israeli measures could lead to other “bloody” wars that would threaten innocents and the area’s stability, Dina Kawar, Jordan’s representative to the UN Security Council (UNSC), said Tuesday.
At a meeting of the international body, Kawar said that Israeli violations in Al Haram Al Sharif compound have increased dramatically after the ceasefire in Gaza, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
She said that Israel is “determined” to provoke Arabs and Muslims in all possible ways, adding that Israel is well aware that Al Haram Al Sharif is a red line for more than 1.5 billion people around the world, who will not remain silent over such violations.
Kawar called on the international community to bear their responsibilities in halting these Israeli attacks on the holy shrine, as they will lead to a “catastrophe” that threatens world peace and stability”.
