Jordan, Germany stress need to expand security cooperation

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad and the German Ambassador to Jordan Birgitta Siefker-Eberle on Wednesday discussed enhancing cooperation, specifically in the fields of security and policing.
Talks also covered an upcoming meeting with Hammad’s Bavarian counterpart, scheduled for next week, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Hammad stressed the necessity of exchanging security expertise to help foster regional stability, combat crime and counter terrorism.
The German diplomat commended Jordan’s role in pursuing security and stability in the region, and noted the importance of intensifying cooperation to serve the two countries’ interests.
