AMMAN — Members of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) and Belgian Ambassador to the Kingdom Serge Dickschen on Monday discussed mechanisms for developing trade and investment relations between the two countries and the role of the commercial sector's institutions.
The two sides went over the importance of increasing bilateral investment and trade exchange, increasing visits between trade delegations, boosting cooperation among private sector institutions and building trade partnerships in various sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JCC President Khalil Hajj Tawfiq stressed Belgium's economic importance and its role in developing trade and economic relations between Jordan and the EU countries and increasing joint ventures, noting that the chamber is planning to organise a visit to Brussels during the first quarter of 2024.
Dickschen said that arrangements for a Belgian trade delegation to visit Jordan are being made, with the visit to be held by the end of November next year. The visit will include a joint business forum organised by the Belgian embassy in Amman, with a focus on the ICT, energy, health and food sectors.
