AMMAN — The Iraqi Embassy in Amman on Wednesday expressed its appreciation for Jordan’s decision to exempt Iraqi students from the annual residency requirement.
Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haider Athari said that the Jordanian Ministry of Interior’s decision to exempt Iraqi students from the annual residency requirement would enable hundreds of them to attend public and private schools, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Athari thanked the Kingdom for its “great and continuous support for Iraq” and for responding to the request for exemption.
He noted that this step comes within the framework of the two countries' efforts to enhance partnership and cooperation in a manner that serves the two “brotherly” peoples.
