Faraiah, Iraq ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraiah on Saturday met with Iraq’s Ambassador to Jordan Haidar Athari to discuss strengthening cooperation related to security, economy and Iraqi expatriates in Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Furthering cooperation followed the Royal directives to serve the interests of both countries’ peoples, Faraiah highlighted.
He expressed full readiness to overcome any obstacles Iraqis face when entering or residing in the Kingdom, according to protocol. The Iraqi ambassador pointed to some of the challenges for Iraqi expatriates in Amman and expressed thanks for the support and facilities Jordan provides.
He emphasised the necessity of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, praising the high levels of security and stability and the strong investment environment in the Kingdom. The two sides agreed to continue coordinating on issues to serve both countries’ interests.
