Health minister inspects Karak health facilities

AMMAN — Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab on Thursday checked on the level of healthcare services presented by Karak’s health facilities. Sheyyab, acoompanied by Karak MPs and health director, said the visit was aimed at taking a close look at the needs of healthcare centres, in terms of cadres, equipment and maintenance, the Jordan News Agency, reported.
He said the ministry will provide Karak Hospital with a complete unit for heart disease, a device for treating kidney stones and a neurologist, in addition to expanding Moab and Rabba healthcare centres. Sheyyab noted that doctors in the governorates wishing to pursue studies in specialisations that are needed at local hospitals will be given priority to receive scholarships, provided that they work at public hospitals after completing their studies.
