AMMAN — Celebrations of the International Francophonie Day kicked off on Tuesday, under the patronage of HRH Princess Rym, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Princess Rym inaugurated a photo exhibition under the title “Spirou” Human Rights from the Perspective of Belgian Comic Strips at the Children Museum Jordan.
The princess highlighted the importance of the exhibition’s child-friendly theme of defending human rights, noting that “Spirou” — the main character in the comic — is a journalist defending human rights bravely.
She added that showcasing human rights in this interesting way would raise generations to respect the culture of human rights, especially that children prefer learning through entertainment.
The francophonie celebrations are a unique opportunity to allow all those who speak or learn French to practice it and to celebrate the language, Petra added.
