Forum, free medical day provides aid for underprivileged

AMMAN — Deputising for the minister of awqaf and Islamic affairs, Director General of the Jordanian Zakat Fund Abed Sumairat on Thursday inaugurated a charity forum and free medical day in Jafr district.
The two events aimed at improving the living and health standards of underprivileged areas. The fund disbursed to 100 orphaned children, JD100 each, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Zakat Fund also gave university students JD100 and distributed food packages worth JD50 each to underprivileged families.
