Bustanji, in a statement to The Jordan Times, said that clearance documents were issued for 10,089 electric vehicles in the January-August period of 2022, out of 34,834 vehicles of all types in the same period. As for clearance from Zarqa's free zone, he added that clearance documents were issued for 7,642 hybrid cars, 6,467 diesel vehicles and 10,636 gasoline vehicles.
The JFZIC president said that the demand for electric vehicles has increased in the free zone in Zarqa, especially since buyers have many options, stressing that the traders in the zone meet all requirements for the local market.
