AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood on Tuesday met with British Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett and briefed him on the current conditions in the holy city of Jerusalem with regards to Jewish extremists’ repeated acts of aggression on Al Aqsa Mosque.
Dawood noted that such actions represent a breach of the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty.
Millett expressed the UK’s concern over the issue, noting that the British ambassador to Israel has been requested to urge the Israeli government to respect the peace treaty.
