Consumer society calls for capping charges at eateries

AMMAN — The Consumer Protection Society (CPS) has received several complaints from citizens regarding high prices of meals at popular and tourist restaurants, CPS President Mohammad Obeidat said Wednesday.

He added that some restaurants conceal the high prices of food, in violation of consumers’ rights, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Obeidat called on relevant monitoring institutions to cap prices in restaurants.
