Cancer centre renews cooperation deal with US counterpart

AMMAN — Their Royal Highnesses Prince Talal and Princess Ghida Talal on Sunday attended a signing ceremony to renew the King Hussein Cancer Centre’s “sistership agreement” with the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in the US.
US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells also attended the event, according to a statement by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF).
“This Sistership Institution Agreement is of utmost importance to us as it links directly the King Hussein Cancer Centre with the best in cancer care worldwide, MD Anderson Cancer Centre,” the statement quoted Princess Ghida, the chairperson of the KHCF board of trustees, as saying.
“It also has a direct impact on tens of thousands of patients in the Arab world who will now benefit from the immense advances in cancer care and research achieved at MDACC,” she added.
