2 agreements signed to cover cancer treatment costs for Syrian refugees

AMMAN — HRH Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Centre (KHCC), on Monday signed two agreements with Secretary General of the Qatari Red Crescent Society (QRCS) Ali Bin Hassan Al Hammadi, meant to cover the cost of cancer treatments for Syrian refugees and the centre's needy patients.

Princess Ghida, during the ceremony, expressed thanks to Qatar, expressing appreciation for the QRCS' support for the KHCF and KHCC, notably their humanitarian role in covering the treatment cost of the needy cancer patients.

Qatar's Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani reiterated his country's firm stance on enhancing the Kingdom's humanitarian efforts, especially that Jordan is a refugee-host country, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Hammadi highlighted the KHCF- QRCS shared vision over enhancing collaboration to support care for patients with cancer, notably mobilising support.
