Bakhit discusses Amman-Sofia relations with Bulgarian parliamentary delegation

AMMAN — Acting Senate President Marouf Bakhit on Sunday highlighted the “deep-rooted” Jordanian-Bulgarian relations that are based on mutual respect, and called for further developing them at various levels.
During a meeting with a Bulgarian parliamentary delegation, headed by Galya Vasileva, chairperson of the Bulgarian-Jordanian friendship group at the Bulgarian national assembly, said that Jordan succeeded in overcoming the repercussions of the “Arab Spring” through implementing wide variety of political reforms, awareness of the Jordanians and the resoluteness of its security and military apparatuses, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For her part, Vasileva referred to the “complete” similarity between both countries’ stances towards all regional issues, stressing her country’s support to the Kingdom’s efforts in the war against terrorism. Also on Sunday, Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh met with the delegation and highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in the parliamentary field and regional developments.
