Bakhit meets Friends of Jordan delegation

AMMAN — Acting Senate President Marouf Bakhit and a delegation of the Friends of Jordan’s group at the European Parliament on Sunday discussed parliamentary and political issues.
Bakhit briefed the delegation on the roles of both chambers of parliament and commended the EU’s assistance to Jordan and its support to the Kingdom in shouldering the repercussions of the Syrian refugee crisis, noting that refugees receive similar services as other citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
MP Michael Gahler expressed gratitude for Jordan’s hosting of various refugee influxes, despite the Kingdom’s limited resources.
