Acting Senate president meets Omani, Saudi delegations

AMMAN — Acting Senate President Marouf Bakhit on Monday discussed bilateral relations with a visiting delegation of the Council of State of Oman, headed by Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Ali Al Masrouri, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Bakhit highlighted the historic ties between the two countries, and their interest in boosting joint cooperation, especially in parliamentary and legal fields. Masrouri commended the progress made by Jordan in various fields.
Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh also met with Masrouri and went over the countries' common stances on current issues.
Also on Monday, Bakhit met with former member of the Saudi Shura Council, Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah Al Mushayqih, and an accompanying delegation and discussed bilateral relations and Jordan's political reforms.
