Attempt to smuggle ‘large amount’ of narcotics thwarted at border

AMMAN — Border Guards, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department and the Military Security, have thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large amount of narcotics from Syria, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
After applying the rules of engagement, the smugglers retreated to Syrian territory and the troops searched the area where they found 1,127,000 Capatagon pills and a gun. The confiscated items were referred to the concerned bodies.
