Association of Arab Universities, China ink deal for specialised centres

AMMAN — The Association of Arab Universities (AAU) and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology have agreed to establish specialised centres in Jordan and Egypt to provide the faculties of Arab universities with training in modern Chinese technology, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The agreement came during a signing of a cooperation agreement between the AAU and the China-Arab States Technology Transfer department, which is part of the Chinese ministry.
In a statement carried by Petra on Tuesday, AAU Secretary General Amr Salameh said that the fields of training will include 2D photo scanning in addition to training in various technologies as well as Mandarin courses.
