AMMAN — The Association of Arab Universities (AAU) and the China-Arab States Technology Transfer Centre on Tuesday signed a cooperation and training agreement to transfer Chinese technology to Arab higher education institutions.

As part of the agreement, an annual conference will be held for Arab and Chinese university presidents to draft a joint vision on developing the quality of university education and provide opportunities for cultural and scientific exchange, AAU Secretary General Amr Salameh said.

The agreement was signed by Salameh and the Chinese centre's director, Xing Ji Guo.

During the signing ceremony, Xing said that the partnership between the AAU and the Chinese centre seeks to coordinate cooperation in scientific research and to train professors, administrators and students in Chinese technology, the Jordan News Agency Petra, reported.
