Army chief joins personnel of Royal Mortars Battalion/5 for iftar

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday stressed that the armed forces are continuing to safeguard and defend the homeland. Joining personnel of the Royal Mortars Battalion/5, one of the Royal Artillery units, for iftar (the fast-breaking meal at sunset) banquet, Huneiti congratulated the unit personnel on His Majesty King Abdullah’s, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), return to the homeland, and conveyed King Abdullah’s greetings to them, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The army chief expressed pride in the efforts exerted by the unit.
