AQACHEI, Iraqi Higher Education Ministry sign cooperation agreement

AMMAN — The Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) and the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement meant to accredit medical colleges in Iraq. An AQACHEI statement emphasised the commission’s deep scientific and academic cooperation with Iraq, and the commission's commitment to keep pace with global developments in higher education by enhancing the educational process and advancing technical, vocational and art education as a priority in their plan. The statement also stressed the importance of facilitating procedures related to accreditation and quality assurance of higher education institutions, especially in regard to the accreditation of medical programmes that can meet the standards of the World Federation for Medical Education through the AQACHEI.
