World Federation for Medical Education president visits Jordan’s HEAC

AMMAN — President of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Ricardo León-Bórquez on Wednesday visited the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC). 

HEAC President Thafer Sarairah said that the visit aimed to review the commission’s procedures following up on medical colleges in higher education institutions in Jordan, which were recently approved by WFME, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Sarairah noted that the HEAC received recognition from WFME for accreditation of medical colleges in Jordan and the region in 2021, after developing standards for accreditation and quality assurance of its medical colleges to match developments in the medical field and to conform to federal requirements and standards.
