Jordan, Libya higher education ministry sign MoU

AMMAN — The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education with the aim to enhance cooperation in the fields of academic accreditation, quality and national qualification frameworks.
On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, AQACHEI President Dhafer Sarayrah and Libyan Minister of Higher Education Omran Qeeb discussed ways to enhance academic cooperation, especially in the areas of academic accreditation and university rankings, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sarayrah commended the “deep-rooted” Jordanian-Libyan relations and the Libyan ministry’s efforts to care for Libyan students in Jordan. Qeeb praised the advanced level of Jordanian universities in developing accreditation and quality, and their "distinguished" scientific and educational position at the regional and global levels.
