AMMAN — Epidemiological inspection units deployed in isolation areas in Irbid on Friday collected 291 samples for COVID-19 testing to be sent to King Abdullah University Hospital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

Director of Irbid Health Directorate Qasim Mayas said that the samples were collected by 25 inspection units, while on Saturday, 18 teams took to the field, and are expected to increase to 30 teams.

During the visit of the ministers of Health and Labour to King Abdullah University Hospital and the Irbid Health Directorate on Saturday, Mayas said that “things are generally going well” thanks to the efforts of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security entities, who ensured that the inspection teams reached their work locations.
