Water theft cases uncovered in Madaba, Ein Al Basha

AMMAN — The Water Ministry, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, on Wednesday carried out a security campaign to detect water theft cases in Madaba and Ein Al Basha. 

During the campaign, the teams removed illegal fixtures on water mains that were used to divert water illegally to irrigate farms and fill water tankers, according to a ministry statement. 

The ministry also praised the cooperation of the public and all other institutions during this ongoing campaign against water theft, stressing that violations related to water resources are a crime.
