Wastewater treatment plant in Zaatari camp inaugurated

AMMAN — Water Minister Hazem Nasser on Tuesday inaugurated the first wastewater treatment plant in the Zaatari Refugee Camp, according to a Japanese embassy statement.
Japan’s Ambassador to Jordan Shuichi Sakurai and representatives of donor countries and organisations attended the inauguration ceremony.
The Japanese government contributed around $700,000 for the construction of the plant, which was implemented by UNICEF, the statement said.
