‘Very dangerous suspect’ arrested in Aqaba

AMMAN — A joint security taskforce on Wednesday arrested a suspect classified as “very dangerous”, who escaped after an exchange of gunfire with the force on Tuesday during a raid on a house in Aqaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
On Tuesday, the taskforce raided the house and exchanged gunfire with two suspects, wounding one who later died upon arrival at the hospital, while the other who was arrested on Wednesday escaped, and is wanted for drug dealing, thefts and carrying weapons. The suspect who escaped was arrested with nine accomplices, all involved in criminal cases. Upon searching the house, the force found two firearms, one of them automatic, and some cash.
