AMMAN — US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells and newly appointed USAID Mission Director Jim N. Barnhart recently visited the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC), according to a King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) statement.
HH Princess Dina Mired, director general of the KHCF, and Asem Mansour, director general of the KHCC, received the two officials, who were briefed on the services provided by the KHCF and KHCC, and their efforts in combating cancer nationally and internationally.
“I am very happy to say that USAID’s immense support has allowed us to maintain excellence in cancer care, bolster breast cancer awareness and research as well as provide crucial cancer care to our patients across the Middle East Region,” the statement quoted Princess Dina as saying. The US officials commended the level of services offered at the centre.
