AMMAN — The University of Jordan (UJ) and the Australian embassy on Tuesday discussed means to enhance academic and cultural cooperation, and the possibility of UJ receiving students from Australian universities to study Arabic.
During a meeting with Australian Ambassador to Jordan Bernard Lynch, UJ President Nathir Obeidat delivered a briefing on the university’s plans to develop its programmes, noting that UJ seeks to provide its students with the skills, knowledge and personal features that qualify them to be successful in the labour force, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For his part, Lynch praised the “prestigious reputation” of UJ among its peers in the region, offering the university a book issued by the embassy on the history of relations between Jordan and Australia.
