TRC 2021 complaints up by 14 per cent from 2020

AMMAN — The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) received a total of 6,978 complaints in 2021 on telecommunication and post services, up by 14 per cent compared with 2020 when it received 6,126 complaints, TRC Chief Commissioner Bassam Sarhan said on Tuesday.
Ninety-five per cent of complaints in 2021 were addressed and solved, Sarhan said in a TRC statement.
He added that complaints in 2021 included 4,915 relating to Internet services, 1,852 on mobile phone services, 138 for landline subscriptions, 61 for post services, three pre-paid card, five vehicle tracking and four for "qualitative approvals".
The statement said that the commission received complaints on the free number 117000, the email: HYPERLINK "mailto:COMPLAINTS&ENQUIRIES@TRC.GOV.JO"COMPLAINTS&ENQUIRIES@TRC.GOV.JO, the TRC pages on Facebook and Twitter or through coming personally to TRC headquarters.
