AMMAN — Transport Minister Hussein Al Souob on Thursday checked on the level of preparedness of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) before a scheduled visit of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in April to examine the aviation level in Jordan.
Souob said the visit is aimed at checking on the performance of the new CARC administration, which, he said, has a long experience in the sector, noting that ICAO is the international entity responsible for monitoring countries’ aviation commissions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Captain Haitham Misto, chief commissioner of CARC, said Jordan is committed to abide by international agreements, noting that 2017 marks the Kingdom’s 70th year as a member of ICAO.
