Tight security plan for elections — PSD

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Tuesday highlighted the importance of “tight” implementation of the security plan designated to the 2020 parliamentary elections.
Hawatmeh, during a meeting to discuss the plan, stressed the need of “strict implementation of all preventive and precautionary measures set to provide a safe environment for conducting the electoral process”, amid the exceptional circumstances that the Kingdom is experiencing in light of the COVID- 19 pandemic.
He also highlighted the need of coordination between the Interior Ministry and the Independent Commission of Elections, as well as other related bodies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
