AMMAN — Unstable weather conditions will affect the Kingdom on Wednesday, with partly-cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by rain in different areas of the country, including Aqaba, the Jordan Metrological Department said on Monday.
On Wednesday evening, heavy rain is expected, with thunderstorms and hail at times, the JMD statement said. The statement added that floods are also expected in low-lying areas with moderate to active south-easterly winds.
The same conditions are expected for Thursday, with north-westerly winds in desert areas. The maximum temperature on Wednesday is expected to reach 16°C, and drop to 15°C on Thursday.
Low visibility and slippery roads are also expected in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, the statement said.
The department called on the public to rely on weather information issued by the JMD, by following updates on www.jmd.gov.jo or through its Facebook page.
