Taiwan donates 3,900 metric tonnes of rice to Jordanians in need

AMMAN — Tkiyet Um Ali (TUA)in partnership with World Vision International Jordan (WVJ) on Sunday launched the second phase of the Taiwan rice distribution project, donated by the Taiwan. Taipei, via the WVJ, has donated 3,900 metric tonnes of rice to alleviate acute food shortage among Jordanians.
The partnership aims to assist Jordanians affected by economic difficulties in the country and the influx of Syrian refugees. The donated rice will be distributed via TUA in sufficient quantities to 18,300 vulnerable households in the Kingdom’s 12 governorates over 18 months, according to a TUA statement.
