Swaqa inmate dies of pulmonary embolism — autopsy report

AMMAN — An inmate in his 30s died at the Swaqa Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre on Thursday after suffering a pulmonary embolism, or a blood clot in the blood vessels of the lungs.
Director of Forensic Medicine of the Southern Region Hassan Hawari told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the body had been transferred from the Karak Hospital to the centre of forensic medicine of the southern region. According to the autopsy report, the cause of death was found to be a clot in the pulmonary artery, Hawari added.
