AMMAN — South Amman Preventive Security Department personnel have arrested a suspect of an African nationality in connection with an attempt to defraud a Jordanian of JD3 million in a “black dollar” scam, the Public Security Department (PSD) media centre said Tuesday.
A merchant informed the Preventive Security Department that the suspect tried to sell him a large amount of money in black dollars for JD3 million.
The PSD statement said the suspect was arrested and found in possession of huge amounts of dollar-like notes and special ink, adding that investigation into the case is under way.
