Man sentenced to prison for ‘brokerage firm scam’

AMMAN – The State Security Court on Monday sentenced a man to 10-and-a-half years in prison in a “brokerage firm scam” case.
The convict had claimed to have a company that specialises in global stock markets and conned people into giving him more than JD1.5 million.
He also opened four branches for the company to deceive customers to believe the firm was linked with global bourses.
